The year 2021 has been a tense year for Ethiopia. A year Ethiopia’s existence was tested on the atrocity scale.

Internal enemies and foreign antagonists attacked Ethiopia with encouraging insurrection, disinformation, diplomatic pressure, and false media reports. Especially, international actors were meddling in advancing an outcome that would favor TPLF.

Hundreds of thousands of innocent citizens were killed, millions displaced from their homes, critical infrastructure like hospitals and schools deliberately destroyed. Citizens and the leaders reacted in unity against the attack and persevered the nation with sheer strength and support from global friends.

For that, Ethiopia deserves to be the “Country of the Year 2021”.
