The genocide and ethnic cleansing against the Amhara people has entered a different phase where the attack is no longer through non-State actor proxies, however through the full force of the National Defense Force.
The regime is engaged in an illegal operation, which amounts to waging war on Amharas, and it is officially labeling the operation as "Disarming of the Amhara People and Restoring Law and Order" campaign in order to evade scrutiny from the international community.
The campaign includes deploying hundreds of thousands of Oromo Special Forces dressed in National Defense Forces uniforms, air and heavy artillery attacks into towns, and deployment of tanks in the so-called Amhara Region and continuing to kill children, women, and senior citizens indiscriminately.
